Tower of London Part 4

Up in the sky, is it a bird? no the Raven's wings are clipped.

A full scale model of the bridge

Pointy

We thought we should get out before dark, spooky place.

Tower of London Part 3

Don't you just hate when your chisel goes blunt.

A canon

Now we are just trying to figure out how daylight savings works

Anna found a knight in shining armour but he wasn't too keen to leave his horsey

Thinking about a quick nap, maybe not a good choice which the axe man around.

Tower of London Part 2

We didn't really want to test this one out

The white tower, maybe it needs some napisan?

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....................

Lost property medieval style

Tower of London Part 1

I went fishing in the Thames the other day, the fish was THIS BIG!

Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your sweet hair... a shot of the bell tower

Inside the grounds, just to remind you what green grass looks like

Don't need red eye reduction on this one. Love the leg bling too.

What's a trip to Ireland if you don't go to the Guinness factory????

No prizes for guessing where we were...

The Guinness Harp.. apparently it is modeled off one that was around in the 1700's when the company started. This was a replica I think the real one is in a museum somewhere..

A water fountain in the factory....

We were supposed to write an ode to Guinness.. we decided to write a note home.. ours in the middle one on the bottom row..

At the end of the tour you got a free gunniess... this is Tim's one

This was also Tim's Guinness... I was hoping the tour might actually make me like Guinness but it didn't so I used my voucher to get a glass of Coke (Pete would be so proud!)...

This was a cool door we saw on a pub when we were walking around...

As I said it was a little bit windy on this day. This woman is posing for a picture her friend was taking, Tim pretended to take a picture of me while really taking a picture of her.

The Temple Bar district.... its the party area.... it had lots of dodgy shops and we had a VERY bad meal there.

Kilkenny -> Dublin (Our last stop)

The final leg of the journey. We spent a very blustery 1.5 days in Dublin at the end of our trip. There were gale force winds that were hitting Ireland and Scotland at this time and as a result many outdoor New Years celebrations were canceled.

This was a pretty cool clock we saw, it didn't work...

St Patrick's Cathedral, we didn't go in but it looked very impressive from the outside.

St Catherine's Cathedral, this was awesome inside, we didn't have a lot of time as there was a service starting in 0.5hr but we covered the whole thing. This cathedral dated back to the 1100's....

A random fountain, Tim thought it would look good in a photo and it seemed to work out well...

Cork -> Kilkenny

After Cork we went to Kilkenny... The battery on the camera was dead so we didn't take any pictures.... We tried to go to the Kilkenny brewery but no one had any idea where it or Baileys was made... It was also next to impossible to find Kilkenny beer in Kilkenny...

A spooky tree at Blarney's Castle... we thought it was very Lord of the Rings...

A spooky stream near the tree.... apparently no one goes near this Druids area at night and we could see why!

An artistic shot by Timmo...

We drove through Waterford on the way to Kilkenny... Like most other things the museum was shut :(

On the way to Cork & Blarney Castle

The only pub in Ireland not to be covered in Guinness signs.. We had lunch there... it was less than impressive...

Just in case you were wondering where the stone was!

Me thinks this is the castle... Lucky there was that sign telling us this is the castle...

Taking a closer look at the blarney stone... Unfortunately the person that really needs the gift of the gab didn't want to kiss the stone... someone had to do it!

Another shot of the castle.. its very impressive
